Title: Mindful moment: Making connections

I think we can all agree that happiness is one of the best emotions that a person can feel. So, what if I told you there is a way you can generate more happiness in your life by doing something common to us all? In other words, there may be a proven way to boost your happiness and even contribute to better overall physical health and that is simply connecting with others.

Connecting with others is one of the best ways to boost your mood, reduce stress, and improve selfesteem. When we laugh, cry, or even share a story with a friend our brain releases dopamine and endorphins known as "feel good" neurotransmitters that are responsible for happiness and mood

Research also shows that when we connect with others, its healthy for our hearts and even boosts our immune system. When we start to get too comfortable withdrawing into our own worlds, try to remember that taking a moment to step outside of your immediate comfort zone and try connecting with others can have far reaching benefits for you.

Marcel Proust, the French novelist, and poet summed it up very beautifully when he said, "Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom."
