Most of us want to take better care of ourselves – we just don't know where to start. Talkspace online therapy and self-guided can help you change the thoughts, habits and behaviors that are holding you back from feeling like your best self.

What is Talkspace?

Talkspace is an online therapy platform that makes it easy and convenient to connect with a licensed behavioral therapist — from just about anywhere, at any time. Send text messages to your therapist via web browser or the Talkspace mobile app. Your therapist will respond daily, five days per week.

How does Talkspace work?

  • Tell Talkspace what you're looking for. First, you'll indicate your needs and preferences for therapy. Keep in mind that Talkspace is confidential, secure and private.
  • Get matched. You'll be matched with a therapist within 48 hours.
  • Message with your therapist — on your schedule. Once matched, you can begin to send text messages to your therapist, who will check in daily, five days per week. You'll always connect with the same therapist, unless you request to switch. Each week of chat therapy counts as one of your free sessions.
  • Meet with your therapist virtually. You also have the option to meet with your therapist online for 30-minute televideo sessions. Each meeting counts as one of your free sessions.

Please note: This service offers individual counseling for adults age 13 and older. You have 120 days from the date you sign up to use your sessions. Talkspace should not be considered for meeting requirements for employment, school enrollment, disability or legal documentation. You can also find answers on the Talkspace FAQ page.

You'll be asked a few questions and based on your answers, you'll receive a personalized plan from a library of over 50 guided counseling programs. From there, you can engage with:

  • Over 400 self-guided and interactive courses
  • Live workshops and classes
